In order for Wal-Mart to stay on top of the retail market, Sam’s Club undertakes an aggressive remodel program touching hundreds of clubs each year. These are major remodels and contain several optional ancillary areas, such as: pharmacy additions (by state requirements); one-hour photo labs; tire and maintenance centers; optical shops; bakeries; vestibule additions; cart storage areas; customer loading areas; meat preparation areas; rotisserie chicken areas; and fresh produce islands.
